Official Ladies Kendo section Launched within HKKA

On the 12th November I received this great news from Eda sensei, the leading figure of Hong Kong Ladies Kendo, and would like to share this with all UK ladies Kendoka, hoping we will establish something similar one day in the UK..
The detail of the news reads:
Dear all,
We have confirmed that the Ladies’ Kendo Section has been set up
by HKKA. The requirements are as follows:
- Open to all female members of HKKA and / or its associated dojos,
irrespective of dan level who are currently practicing with bogu
(except beginners),
- An annual registration fee of HKD50.00 shall be payable to Hong
Kong Kendo Association Limited.
- A new application form and disclaimer form will be sent to all
dojo masters,
- 1st practice scheduled on friday 1st January 2010 (0230pm-0430pm
Function Room II at QE Stadium),
- All participants must have consent from their sensei or dojo
masters to attend the practice and to join the Ladies Kendo Section
The purpose of this Ladies’ Kendo Section under HKKA is mainly for
the development of Ladies’ Kendo in Hong Kong, female Kendo
practitioners in Hong Kong still remain at very low population.
We have assigned Ms Eda Chen (6Dan Renshi), Ms Lee Suk Ling (5Dan),
Ms Chan Sui Kuen (5Dan) and Ms Liu Sau King (5Dan) to be in charge.
我們確認附屬於劍協的女子劍道部已經正式成立。
有關入部要求如下:
- 除了初學學員之外，所有已上甲及不論段位的劍協
女會員或屬會女會員， 均可參加；
- 須向香港劍道協會每年繳交港幣50元的登記費；
- 稍后， 我們會向各屬會館長，派發一份新的入部申
請書及免責聲明，
- 第一次的練習 于2010年1月1日星期五在新伊館下午二
時半至四時半進行；
- 所有參加者必須得到她們的老師或?長同意其練習
及登記入?；
鋻于香港女仕學習劍道還不是很普及，所以，成立香
港劍道協會女子劍道部的主要目的，是為了更進一步
的發展香港的女子劍道。
劍協的執委會已委派 陳伊達小姐（?士六段），李
淑玲小姐（五段），陳瑞娟小姐（五段），及 廖秀
瓊小姐 （五段）， 負責女子劍道部的事宜。
